Mos Def's new album is a t-shirt, a really good t-shirt

The new release of rapper/actor Mos Def titled "The Ecstatic" will be released on a t-shirt. Yes a t-shirt. Produced by clothing label LnA, record label Downtown Music and Invisible DJ and has the cover on the front, track-listing on the back, and a hang-tag that has a download code on it. Oh and by the way, the album is good and is machine washable.

The music is Mos Def's amazing storytelling style, but with some retro vibes and international sounds layering over beats and sounds that resemble everything from motown to Ultra-Lounge. Track to track, it never sounds tired, and it never sounds pretentious.

This is a highly creative concept from a highly creative artist. Invisible DJ also plans on releasing other artists albums on their t-shirts. At $39 bucks, you're paying for both, but look at the bright side, if you see someone else with the shirt on, you both have something to talk about.
