How do you make a YouTube video viral? Simple, you make a clever video that people want to pass around and share. Nintendo turns that on its ear and asks "How do you make a YouTube page viral?" and the result is Wario-Land Shake It advertisement. Granted, it doesn't look like an ad and that's the point. It looks like your average everyday YouTube page but when the video starts playing it becomes quite clear that Wario's shaking fun cannot be contained.

We've seen literal "out of the box" thinking with Point Roll ads, Eyeblaster ads, etc. A while back we saw Mac roadblock ads that talk to each other and work in unison – with the leaderboard ad synchronized with a skyscraper ad. But it's not just about breaking out of the box, but HOW it is done. (Apple makes their leaderboard look like an New York Times headline, only to be manipulated by its advertising personalities). The point is, get beyond the gimmick of new technology: if you make it relevant, it makes it powerful.
(And that's how you really shake things up)
