Creepy Marketing

Brandweek did a year roundup of the top 2008 Guerrilla Marketing stunts. And to kick off the new year, I thought I'd point out one in particular: Bosch's security "scare tactics". Granted, this wouldn't have gone over too well in the U.S., but it appears to be fine for the people of Johannesburg, South Africa.

So let's say you're taking out the garbage. You check the mailbox, you sift through the junk mail. You find a Polaroid inside. The Polaroid is a photo of your house with a message on the back saying if you had a Bosch security camera, you would've seen who took the photo.

Creepy.

Now, where's my baseball bat?
